Job summary

Outokumpu is seeking an experienced SAP Release Manager with development understanding to lead governance, planning, and execution of SAP releases across our enterprise landscape in Poland. You will act as the primary gatekeeper for production deployments, ensuring changes are tested, approved, and aligned with business priorities.

You will collaborate with SAP service managers, development teams, and IT security to deliver high-quality releases while minimizing risk.

Join Us to Drive Reliable and Controlled SAP Releases

We are looking for an experienced SAP Release Manager with development understanding to lead the governance, planning, and execution of SAP releases across our business-critical SAP landscape. In this role, you will act as the primary gatekeeper for moving changes safely into production environments, ensuring that all deployments are thoroughly tested, approved, and aligned with business priorities. Based on your experience you will also look after the development quality

You will work closely with SAP Service managers, concept owners, development teams, functional experts, SAP Basis specialists and external partners to deliver high-quality releases while minimizing business risk and operational disruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and govern the release lifecycle, deployment calendar, and production rollout activities.
• SAP Authorizations and over all development quality: You will be coordinating the delivery of the SAP Authorization team and ensure stable, secure, and efficient service delivery for requests, incidents and enhancements. Look after the development quality and that teams are following the best practises in coding.
• Coordinate deployments, cutovers, and go-live activities across multiple environments.
• Manage release dependencies and align business, development, infrastructure, testing, and support teams.
• Ensure successful testing, production readiness, and quality standards are met before deployment.
• Identify and mitigate release risks, maintain contingency plans, and drive continuous process improvements.
• Govern release-related processes, controls, and documentation using established change management practices and tools.
• Coordinate releases and deployment activities across complex enterprise system landscapes.
• Ensure compliance with audit, governance, security, and change management requirements.
• Coordinate the delivery and prioritization of access management and security-related activities.
• Promote development quality and ensure teams follow engineering standards, best practices, and established delivery processes.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Release Management, Change Management, Service Management, Delivery Management, or a related field.
• Strong experience managing complex release cycles within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience working with enterprise business systems and applications across multiple environments and technologies.
• Proven track record of coordinating diverse stakeholders across business and IT functions.
• Solid understanding of change, release, and service management principles and industry best practices (e.g., ITIL).
• Knowledge of identity, access, and authorization management concepts.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles, deployment processes, and quality assurance practices.
• Strong communication, coordination, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Salary range in Poland: 17,700 to 22,130 zl. gross per month. Final offer depends on candidate's experience and competence.
