Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a skilled SAP HANA Developer to design and maintain data models, pipelines, and backend solutions for manufacturing and analytics environments. You will optimize performance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and enable real-time insights with SAP Analytics Cloud.

With 5+ years in SAP HANA, you will work in a hybrid setup with Poland-based teams, contributing to scalable data architectures and innovative data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SAP HANA development or equivalent roles in the SAP space.
• Expertise in SAP HANA native modeling with Calculation Views, CDS Views, Procedures and SQLScript.
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL workflows and data pipelines in SAP environments.
• Familiarity with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or other legacy systems in data workflows.
• Data performance optimization, database tuning and scalability for large datasets.
• Experience in SAP BW environments (InfoObjects, DSOs, Process Chains, data transformations) is a plus.
• Strong data architecture understanding and hands-on with SAP Web IDE and BW/4HANA tools.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and with JIRA/Confluence.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SAP HANA native models (Calculation Views, CDS Views, Procedures, SQLScript).
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines to load data from SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable data flows and architectures.
• Develop end-to-end data workflows ensuring high data quality and resolving discrepancies.
• Work with frontend teams to enable real-time insights via SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Support analytics and KPI tracking with SAP HANA backend solutions.
• Optimize data processing for large datasets using SAP HANA in-memory capabilities.
• Contribute to cross-team projects with engineers, analysts, and solution architects.
• Actively participate in SAFe Agile workflows including sprints and planning.
• Document and maintain technical best practices for SAP HANA solutions.
