Job summary

Buildout is seeking our first Sales Engineer to add technical depth and confidence to the sales process. You’ll bridge Sales and Product, translating complex workflows into a clear value story for prospects and customers.

You will primarily support Account Executives and occasionally Account Managers, shaping the SE function and building a scalable playbook from the ground up. This fully remote role requires strong demo storytelling and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a client-facing Sales Engineer role, ideally supporting a SaaS sales organization.
• Demonstrated presentation and discovery skills for tailored product demonstrations.
• Experience partnering with Sales and cross-functional teams such as Product, Product Marketing, Customer Success, or Implementation.
• Bonus points for experience with commercial real estate technology, APIs and integrations, or AI-powered software.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives on complex opportunities, especially during later-stage demos, technical validation, and integration conversations.
• Translate prospect business needs into value by connecting Buildout’s capabilities to outcomes that matter.
• Deliver compelling, tailored demos reflecting the prospect’s use case rather than a feature tour.
• Guide stronger technical discovery and help AEs uncover right requirements without attending every call.
• Own complex product and integration conversations on topics like integrations, APIs, reporting, and security.
