Job summary

Software Mind is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join a Polish-British team delivering innovative document management software for clinical research. You will coach Scrum teams, facilitate ceremonies, and optimise cross-team collaboration to deliver value.

The role emphasizes pragmatic Agile thinking, flexibility, and strong communication with CTOs and team leaders. Join a collaborative environment with international projects, remote work options, and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• +3 years of commercial experience in the Agile way of working.
• Hands-on work coordinator who can switch hats and adapt flexibly.
• Proven ability to demonstrate and communicate the value delivered by development teams and the Scrum Master role.
• Experience driving improvements beyond a single team’s boundaries across the wider process with PO, business, and QA teams.
• Ability to think independently and pragmatically, not strictly following the Scrum Guide.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Scrum teams to enable self-organization and achieve sprint goals.
• Show the value delivered by teams and by the Scrum Master role.
• Improve the wider process with the Product Owner, business stakeholders, and other dev/QA teams.
• Adapt your approach pragmatically instead of following Scrum by the book.
• Coordinate day-to-day team work and switch hats as needed (coach, SM, problem-solver).
• Facilitate communication and Scrum ceremonies.

Position – how you’ll contribute

• Leading and coaching Scrum teams to enable them to self-organize to achieve their sprint goals.

Expectations – the experience you need

• +3 years of commercial experience in the Agile way of working
• Understanding that "Scrum Master" is just a title, and readiness to act as a hands‑on work coordinator who switches hats and adapts flexibly to whatever challenge arises
• Proven track record of demonstrating and communicating the value delivered by both development teams and the Scrum Master role itself
• Experience in driving improvements beyond a single team's boundaries — across the wider process involving the Product Owner, business stakeholders, and other development and QA teams
• Ability to think independently and pragmatically rather than rigidly following the Scrum Guide by the book
• Hands‑on experience engaging with CTOs, Heads of Development, and Team Leaders – presenting and advocating for solutions, driving change, and delivering root cause analysis
• Ability to say no and keep workloads under control
