Job summary

HSBC Service Delivery seeks an experienced Scrum Master to drive delivery across Core Solutions SVS using Avaloq-enabled platforms in a Kraków setting.

You will enable high-performing Agile teams, manage backlogs, and lead governance forums while ensuring measurable business outcomes and strong stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with project, programme or business management backgrounds.
• Proven delivery experience in banking or financial services domains.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, hybrids).
• Experience leading distributed, multi-disciplinary tech teams with governance.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our private banking business uses Avaloq, a leading end-to-end wealth management and banking platform supporting client management, investments, trading, lending, payments, risk, compliance, and back-office operations. We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to drive the successful delivery of technology initiatives across Core Solutions SVS. You will enable high-performing Agile teams, strengthen delivery governance, remove impediments, and ensure measurable business and technology outcomes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead end-to-end delivery planning and execution across multiple technology workstreams, balancing scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, and dependencies. Partner with Product Owners and technology teams to manage, refine, prioritise, and maintain effective backlogs. Apply and improve Agile ways of working, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, PI Planning, and Scrum of Scrums. Track delivery progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits; provide clear recommendations and elevate blockers where needed. Facilitate key governance forums, including Value Stream Reviews, Portfolio Syncs, PI Planning, QBRs, and Scrum of Scrums. Support Value Stream capability prioritisation, including Capability Investment Cases and Capability Hypothesis Statements. Ensure teams follow required controls, including security, architecture, capability management, and technology standards. Maintain visibility of resource demand, capacity, skills, locations, and funding requirements across the Value Stream. Deliver concise, actionable Value Stream reporting, including self-service dashboards and exception reports for senior stakeholders.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

WE REQUIRE At least 10 years of IT experience, including 5+ years in project, programme, or business management roles. Proven project delivery experience within the banking or financial services domain. Strong knowledge of the SDLC and Agile delivery approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and hybrid methodologies. Demonstrated ability to lead and support distributed, multi-disciplinary technology teams. Experience managing complex delivery portfolios, dependencies, risks, governance, and stakeholder expectations. Strong commercial and operational awareness, including capacity planning, resource management, budgets, and funding changes. Ability to translate strategic goals into practical delivery plans and make sound decisions in complex environments. Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and influencing skills across senior business and technology stakeholders. Knowledge of Avaloq technology and private banking platforms is an advantage
