Job summary

Shades By Matiss is seeking a reliable Shipping and Receiving associate to support our operations in Mountainside, NJ. This remote role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure shipments move efficiently, while maintaining accurate records and timely communication with carriers.

You will receive, inspect, and document incoming and outgoing shipments, pack and label orders, and help manage inventory. A strong team player who can work independently in a fast-paced environment is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping, receiving or warehouse/logistics preferred.
• Familiarity with major carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, USPS).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Basic computer skills for processing orders and records.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
• Accurately process and document outbound shipments using shipping software and carriers
• Pack, label, and prepare orders for shipment in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain organized inventory storage and assist with stock management
• Coordinate with carriers and vendors to schedule pickups and deliveries
• Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments
• Keep shipping and receiving areas clean, safe, and well-organized
