Job summary

Optery, a fully-remote global team, is seeking a senior IC to own lifecycle marketing end-to-end—designing journeys, writing copy, running experiments, and reporting results across activation, retention, and expansion.

You’ll implement automated campaigns in Customer.io (or equivalents like Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo), develop segmentation and personalization, ensure deliverability, and collaborate with product, analytics, and support to align messaging.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on lifecycle/CRM/retention or email marketing for subscription services.
• Proficiency in modern marketing automation platforms with segmentation and templating.
• Strong copy instincts and ability to test and iterate.
• Comfort with data and ability to pull reports; SQL a plus.
• Understanding of email deliverability and compliance.
• Experience leveraging AI in workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own lifecycle marketing roadmap across activation, retention, and expansion.
• Build, launch, and optimize automated campaigns and triggered flows.
• Own in-app messaging and transactional communications with product/engineering.
• Develop segmentation and personalization strategies using behavioral data.
• Run an experimentation program with A/B testing and clear measurements.
• Collaborate with analytics to measure lifecycle performance and connect to revenue.
