Job summary

Assured is seeking a meticulous People Operations and Compliance Generalist to oversee benefits, payroll, and state filings while ensuring compliance and a great employee experience. You will collaborate with benefits brokers, payroll providers, insurance companies, and government agencies to keep operations accurate and efficient.

This role emphasizes automation, data integrity in Rippling, and maintaining the handbook and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• 2–5 years of experience in benefits administration and multi-state payroll tax compliance.
• Knowledge of benefits administration and employment compliance.
• Experience with Rippling HRIS and payroll systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to for benefits questions and enrollments.
• Partner with Sequoia to administer benefit plans and ensure ACA compliance.
• Maintain payroll and state compliance including withholdings and unemployment registrations.
• Own AbstractOps, CT Corp, and mailroom responsibilities.
• Run HRIS updates and leave coordination in Rippling.
• Support audits with organized records and notices.
• Maintain the employee handbook and policies.
• Administer Lattice and support annual reviews and documentation.
• Produce headcount, turnover, and hiring reports.
• Automate repetitive benefits questions via automation and AI.
