Job summary

intent is seeking a Head of People to own all people functions—recruitment, HR operations, team development, and policies—working with founders on growth. You’ll lead a trio (2 recruiters + office manager) and drive ~50 hires annually while building compensation systems.

This is a B2B contract with a fixed monthly rate. Fully remote with an office in Warsaw and coworking space in Gdansk; flexible hours, typically between 10:00 and 18:00 CET.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a senior HR/People role
• Hands-on recruitment experience at scale in tech/software services
• Solid understanding of Polish labor law and contract types
• Experience building HR systems from scratch or rebuilds (compensation, performance reviews, onboarding)
• Commercial awareness and ability to discuss headcount vs. pipeline with leadership
• Strong data skills: build reports and turn numbers into recommendations
• English at C1+ (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

• Lead the People team: manage two recruiters and an office manager, run weekly 1:1s and quarterly evaluations
• Own the full recruitment cycle: plan hiring with the sales pipeline, ~50 hires/year across roles
• Design and optimize recruitment processes, train hiring managers, manage agencies/outsourcing
• Run onboarding, workshadowing, and offboarding programs
• Partner with team leads on performance reviews, development plans, and corrective actions
• Advise leaders on hiring decisions, compensation, org design, succession planning
• Own HR operations: contracts (B2B, UoP, UZ, NDAs), leave and overtime, invoice approvals
• Build and maintain all people policies (leave, equipment, remote work, bonuses, offboarding)
• Manage vendor relationships (Saltus medical, legal, payroll, training providers)
• Drive HR reporting: recruitment metrics, retention, headcount efficiency
• Lead people initiatives: wellbeing, mentoring, feedback frameworks
• Handle compliance: ISO 27001 audits and labor inspections, tool access
• Use AI tools as part of daily workflow
