Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a highly analytical FinOps Analyst to join our Cloud FinOps Director team and drive financial rigor across cloud deployments. You will own budget reconciliation, variance analysis, and monthly close while delivering insights through Power BI and related tools.

You will collaborate with engineering and finance to optimize chargeback processes, develop automated workflows, and surface cost-control risks with dashboards and MDX/DAX queries.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in FP&A, accounting, cost management & data analytics.
• Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong math, finance, analytics, statistics skills & ability to handle anomalies.
• Knowledge of Cloud Cost management (showback & chargeback).
• Advanced Excel (dynamic/logical formulas).
• Motivated self-starter managing multiple priorities.
• Understanding of Accounting policies & SOX controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead FinOps across cloud deployments and R&D.
• Provide budget reconciliation, variance reporting and gap analysis.
• Oversee monthly close, journal entries and forecast variance analysis.
• Deliver analysis using BI tools like Power BI.
• Analyze datasets to identify trends and cost-control risks.
• Collaborate with engineering and finance to improve chargeback processes.
• Develop automated chargeback workflows to boost efficiency.
• Create data visualizations and insights with Power BI, Power Query, DAX & MDX.
