Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a highly analytical FinOps Analyst to join our Cloud FinOps Director team and drive financial rigor across cloud deployments. You will own budget reconciliation, variance analysis, and monthly close while delivering insights through Power BI and related tools.

You will collaborate with engineering and finance to optimize chargeback processes, develop automated workflows, and surface cost-control risks with dashboards and MDX/DAX queries.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in FP&A, accounting, cost management & data analytics.
• Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong math, finance, analytics, statistics skills & ability to handle anomalies.
• Knowledge of Cloud Cost management (showback & chargeback).
• Advanced Excel (dynamic/logical formulas).
• Motivated self-starter managing multiple priorities.
• Understanding of Accounting policies & SOX controls.

We are seeking a highly analytical FinOps Analyst reporting to the Cloud FinOps Director to join our cloud innovation journey.

Responsibilities

• Serve as FinOps Lead to cloud deployments, services & R&D.
• Provide financial support on budget reconciliation, variance reporting & gap analysis.
• Lead monthly close, journal entries & analyze actuals vs. forecast trends.
• Deliver independent analysis using tools like MS Power BI.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies & cost control risks.
• Partner with engineering & finance to improve chargeback processes & analytic solutions.
• Develop automated chargeback workflows for efficiency.
• Plus: Data visualization/insights via Power BI, Power Query, DAX & MDX.
