Job summary

Baltic Assist is seeking an accounting professional in Poland to manage day-to-day accounting tasks and build financial models to support strategic objectives.

The role involves data collection, reconciliation, and reporting in line with local GAAP and IFRS, with exposure to VAT compliance and collaboration with auditors and clients. Remote work options and international exposure are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics/Mathematics/Business Administration/Finance or similar.
• Not less than 1 year of professional experience in Finance.
• Good communication skills; fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent MS Excel skills.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Independent thinking.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting responsibilities and develop a financial model to support strategic objectives.
• Collect and analyze financial and administrative data from various sources and enter into the system.
• Check balance sheet and P&L accuracy and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare interim and annual reports per local GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare VAT and other tax reports and management reports.
• Assist auditors, tax inspectors, and lawyers with data collection and submissions.
• Communicate with customers on accounting matters.
• Share best practices and knowledge with colleagues.
