Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a leading cloud services organization to hire an Engineering Manager for Managed Services in Poland. You will lead a distributed, highly technical team responsible for operating and improving modern cloud infrastructure, including OpenStack-based environments.

The role emphasizes people leadership, technical decision-making, service delivery, and close collaboration with customers and product engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in a technology-related field or comparable professional experience.
• Proven experience in software engineering with languages such as Python, Go, C, C++, Java or managing technical operations teams.
• Demonstrated experience with OpenStack.
• Strong testing, code quality, and maintainability practices.
• Experience administering Linux systems; Ubuntu or Debian is a plus.
• Solid understanding of cloud architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Proven experience leading distributed or remote teams.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Customer-focused approach to service delivery and operational excellence.
• Willingness to travel around 20% or less.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a growing engineering team, improving development velocity and operational quality.
• Oversee day-to-day delivery of managed services across customer environments.
• Establish disciplined engineering and operations processes for scalability and maintainability.
• Monitor team health indicators and drive improvements in collaboration and performance.
• Maintain focus on priorities, milestones, deliverables, and customer commitments.
• Represent the team with customers, stakeholders, product engineering, and external partners.
• Ensure SLAs are met across deployments worldwide.
• Drive improvements to products, processes, and operational practices.
