We are looking for an experienced IT Manager / DevOps Leader to take ownership of cloud application deployment, automation and operational strategy within a global technology environment.
You will lead a distributed DevOps team, define DevOps and DevSecOps strategy, and drive the adoption of modern engineering practices across cloud platforms and application environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a global team of DevOps Engineers across multiple locations.
- Define and execute DevOps and DevSecOps strategy, roadmaps and engineering standards.
- Own and continuously improve CI/CD, infrastructure automation and release processes.
- Drive automation across provisioning, configuration management and application deployments.
- Establish DevOps best practices around branching, deployment strategies, workflows and operational processes.
- Introduce and maintain DevOps metrics, reducing technical debt and improving delivery performance.
- Partner with Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, Architecture and Product teams to improve cloud delivery.
- Lead continuous improvement and drive DevOps transformation across the wider organisation.
- Ensure appropriate monitoring, logging, security and compliance practices are embedded across environments.
- Support recruitment, team development, performance management and career progression.
- Coordinate operational support and ensure appropriate coverage for critical services.
We are looking for someone with:
- 4+ years' experience in Development and/or DevOps Engineering, combined with 2+ years' experience leading DevOps teams.
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git and Azure DevOps.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure automation and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Application Insights, Prometheus or Grafana.
- Good understanding of DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, release management and automation.
- Experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.
- Proven ability to lead technical change across teams and establish consistent engineering standards.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and project management skills.
