Job summary

Kira is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own technical direction for major products and systems. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will design, build, and drive critical engineering work from idea to production.

You will mentor engineers across teams, raise engineering quality, and make trade-offs to balance speed, scalability and cost while shaping the architectural direction for high-scale platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong system design and architecture skills for high-scale systems.
• Hands-on coding ability and willingness to stay involved.
• Proven track record leading major engineering projects from design to production.
• Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and guide teams.

Responsibilities
