Job summary

Njord Offshore Ltd. seeks a Marine Engineering Manager / Technical Superintendent to provide daily engineering support for the vessel fleet.

You will report to the Technical Director and work with Engineering Managers, Operations Managers, Fleet Engineers and crews to fix breakdowns and sustain fleet reliability. The role includes frequent travel to vessels across Europe and, for suitably experienced candidates, remote working may be considered.

Qualifications

Marine experience is required.
Experience with high-speed vessels and/or Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) in offshore wind is preferred.
Experience with gearboxes and related marine equipment.
Full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

Maintain reliability and operational readiness of the vessel fleet.
Resolve vessel defects with support from Engineering and Fleet Engineers.
Identify and sourcing replacement parts for procurement.
Coordinate with contractors to resolve urgent defects quickly and cost-effectively.
Plan vessel yard periods, scopes of work and required equipment/parts.
Plan machinery exchanges and overhauls.
Investigate breakdown causes and implement prevention measures.
Record and monitor equipment history and spare-parts usage.
Develop standard operating procedures with Fleet Engineers.
