Job summary

Marine 2-Stroke Consultant & Service GmbH in Szczecin seeks a Senior Superintendent – Electrical & Automation to lead field service, troubleshoot complex marine electrical and automation systems, and coordinate retrofit projects worldwide.

You will act as hands-on technician and technical lead, traveling 140–180 days per year, ensuring class‑compliant modifications, and interfacing with shipowners and yards. Fluent English and extensive marine experience are required.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical/Automation/Marine Engineering with E&A specialization.
Extensive experience in marine electrical and automation systems.
Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of PLC systems and engine automation.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve complex faults in marine electrical and automation systems.
Perform repair, maintenance, and optimization work onboard vessels worldwide.
Execute advanced troubleshooting in PLC, engine automation, alarm, and remote control systems.
Carry out software updates, parameter adjustments, and system modifications.
Coordinate and supervise on-site project execution and subcontractors.
Develop technical concepts and engineering solutions for retrofit projects.
Interface with ship owners, shipyards, classification societies, and internal teams.
Commission marine electrical and automation systems onboard vessels.
Conduct Harbor Acceptance Tests (HAT) and sea trials.
