Job summary

Atos is seeking an experienced Data Expert / Data Strategist to join a strategic data management initiative for a major EU Municipality. You will help define and execute data strategies, establish governance frameworks, manage enterprise data assets, and enable data-driven decision-making across multiple public-sector projects.

The position offers a high degree of autonomy and requires translating business goals into effective data management, governance, and analytics practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in science.
• 5 years of professional experience in Data Strategy, Data Governance or Data Management.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks.
• Fluent German communication skills (minimum B2 level).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with business leaders, stakeholders, and technical teams to identify data-related requirements and opportunities.
• Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Design and optimize data management processes, data models, and storage solutions.
• Oversee data quality initiatives, including data cleansing, validation, and quality monitoring.
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Support the implementation of modern data platforms, databases, and data pipelines.
• Provide expert guidance on data lifecycle management and best practices.
