Job summary

Atos is seeking an experienced Data Expert / Data Strategist to join a strategic data management initiative supporting a major EU Municipality. You will define and execute data strategies, establish governance frameworks, manage enterprise data assets, and enable data-driven decision-making across public-sector projects.

The position offers a high degree of autonomy and requires translating business goals into effective data management, governance, and analytics practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in science.
• 5 years of professional experience in Data Strategy, Governance or Management.
• Experience designing enterprise data governance frameworks.
• Fluent German (B2+) and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with large-scale datasets and modern data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data strategies aligned with objectives.
• Collaborate with leaders and technical teams to identify data requirements.
• Define and implement data governance policies, standards and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, security and regulatory requirements.
• Design and optimize data management processes, models and storage solutions.
• Oversee data quality initiatives, including cleansing and validation.
• Analyze data to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Support implementation of modern data platforms and pipelines.
• Provide guidance on data lifecycle management and best practices.
