Job summary

Contour seeks a Business Operations Associate, India, fully remote. You will work as the India-based partner to the business operations lead, identifying inefficiencies and executing end-to-end process redesigns with measurable impact.

You will map workflows, establish baselines, engineer improvements, and manage transitions to new owners to ensure long-term stability with data-backed decisions.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in business operations, process improvement, or operational analysis.
• Ability to model cost and volume dynamics on a whiteboard or in a spreadsheet.
• Ability to build and deploy automations with judgement to keep manual processes when efficient.
• Proven ability to establish performance baselines and ensure outcomes are sustained.
• Clear, actionable documentation and strong communication across teams.
• Collaborating across India and Australian time zones.

Responsibilities

• Identify operational bottlenecks across support, publishing, and operations workflows.
• Analyze and re-engineer processes, establish baselines, redesign for efficiency, and implement until metrics improve.
• Model unit economics: quantify cost to serve a student per program and monitor overhead.
• Leverage automation: evaluate and implement automation tools while maintaining efficient manual processes where needed.
• Ensure process sustainability: create documentation, designate ownership, and provide training for independence.
• Maintain performance visibility with a living scoreboard and clear timelines for executive review.
