Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking an Application Security Consultant to support our Application Security services, including assessments for web, mobile, and AI-powered applications, threat modeling, secure code reviews, and secure SDLC initiatives. The role emphasizes offensive testing, AI/LLM security, and translating findings into practical remediation strategies for client success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma + 5 years of experience
• Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of experience
• Master’s Degree (MS/MA)
• 2 years of experience performing Application Security assessments
• 1 year in enterprise-level consulting
• Experience with testing tools such as Burp Suite, Postman, Netsparker, sqlmap, DirBuster, OpenSSL
• Hands-on experience testing AI/LLM-powered applications and agentic AI systems
• Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications and Agentic Applications
• General AI fluency with LLM APIs/SDKs and AI-assisted development workflows
• Embraces emerging technologies including AI tools

Responsibilities

• Deliver Application Security services including assessments, threat modeling, and code reviews
• Perform AI/LLM and Agentic App Security Assessments with prompt injection testing
• Assess agentic AI architectures for excessive agency and insecure tool integrations
• Author assessment deliverables detailing execution, deficiencies, impact, and remediation
• Build AI-driven tooling to support assessments and automation
• Utilize automation to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency
• Contribute to Application Security research, talks, blogs, and open-source tooling
• Foster client relationships and stay current with AI/LLM and agentic security
