Job summary

GuidePoint Security is hiring an AI Security Engineer for the Mid-Atlantic region (Remote in VA, MD, PA, NC, DE, NJ, or DC). You will design, implement, secure, and operate generative AI security solutions across AI/ML, AppSec, and cloud environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess security posture, advise on secure AI integration with major cloud AI services, and develop risk-based roadmaps while keeping abreast of evolving AI threats.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security engineering with cloud/AppSec focus.
• Hands-on experience securing AI/ML/GenAI solutions in enterprise.
• Familiar with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Azure AI Foundry, or Google Vertex.
• Proficiency in Python or similar language.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI security threats.
• Experience with security controls for data ingestion, vector DBs, and RAG
• Ability to explain complex AI security concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and assess security architectures for AI/ML systems including LLMs and genAI pipelines.
• Lead threat modeling for AI workloads and identify risks across SaaS, self-hosted, and local deployments.
• Provide secure integration guidance for SaaS AI services and APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock).
• Advise on data protection, access controls, and safe handling of credentials and outputs.
• Collaborate with AI/ML, IT ops, and security teams to drive AI risk reduction.
• Stay current on AI threat landscape and vendor advisories to keep guidance proactive.
• Produce security architecture docs, risk assessments, and governance guidelines.
• Help develop strategic AI security roadmap and remediation plans.
• Create security awareness content for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
