Job summary

PaleoHacks seeks an Accountant to support five U.S.-based e-commerce brands. You will own accounting across entities, with strong QuickBooks Online expertise and an AI-forward mindset to improve reporting and workflows.

This remote, full-time role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, QuickBooks Pro-Advisor certification, and Google Workspace proficiency. Some daily overlap with U.S. Central Time is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
• QuickBooks Pro-Advisor Certification required.
• Google Workspace experience required.
• Willingness to overlap with U.S. Central Time hours and work with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records across five U.S.-based brands using QuickBooks Online.
• Perform bank, credit card, merchant, and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate discrepancies.
• Review transactions for proper classification and accounting treatment; post journal entries and month-end adjustments.
• Support tax and regulatory tasks, including sales tax considerations and audits.
• Assist with revenue recognition, inventory and COGS accounting, and vendor/payable/receivable cycles.
