Balyasny Asset Management L.P. is seeking a talented Front End Engineer to join the Execution Technology team.

You will design and build responsive, high‑performance web applications used by front office traders, focusing on usability, real-time data visualization, and engineering quality. The role emphasizes hands-on development with exposure to trading workflows, real‑time data systems, and production environments where performance and reliability are critical.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional front-end experience.
• Proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience with real-time data UIs and streaming tech.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright).
• Experience with modern build tools, CI/CD, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design and build responsive, high-performance front-end applications for the trading desk.
• Develop reusable UI components and maintain front-end architecture.
• Consume and visualize real-time streaming data.
• Collaborate with backend engineers and stakeholders to translate workflows into UI.
• Translate designs into clean, maintainable production code.
• Contribute to UI standards, code reviews, and best practices.
• Optimize performance for high-frequency updates and data-heavy interfaces.
• Support production during trading hours and respond to issues quickly.
• Work in an agile environment with rapid iteration.
