Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in senior technical or architecture roles.
• Advanced proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20) with deep understanding of RAII, smart pointers, STL, concurrency, and memory management.
• Proven experience with multithreading, synchronization primitives, asynchronous I/O and real‑time system design.
• Proficiency with building systems (CMake, Visual Studio) and cross‑platform development for Windows and Linux.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture patterns; performance profiling, optimization, and low‑latency system design.
• Good understanding of unit and integration testing techniques and testing frameworks.
• Experience with Cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, UI/web development.
• Knowledge of non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security).
• Practical experience developing systems for power grid management and monitoring; familiarity with WAMS/WAMPAC, PMU data, protection and control apps; industrial automation systems (SCADA, IED, RTU).
• Experience with industrial protocols and standards (IEC 61850, IEC-60870-5-104, DNP3, OPC UA, IEEE C37.118).
• Excellent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead system design in areas like multithreading, synchronization, I/O, and latency for real‑time operation.
• Architect interop layers connecting high‑performance C++ cores to managed runtime services (.NET, RUST) with minimal latency overhead.
• Drive performance optimization and scalability: profile threading behavior, reduce lock contention, minimize allocations, ensure predictable latency at scale.
• Propagate modern programming practices based on the latest C++ standard.
• Maintain high code quality through reviews, unit testing, and adherence to SOLID, KISS, DRY.
• Mentor development teams on system design and best practices for performance‑critical sections.
• Lead architectural reviews, design docs, and roadmaps for feature development and modernization of legacy code.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear designs.
• Support decisions on dependencies, tooling, secure software supply chain.
• Maintain cross‑platform support: modernize build systems, ensure consistency across deployments, Linux/Windows compatibility.
• Drive Linux development and deployment strategies for Linux environments.
• Contribute to achieving business goals by designing, developing, and delivering high‑quality software solutions.
• Continuously enhance existing systems and contribute to new features.
• Work in an agile environment and continuously expand technical expertise.
• Participate in a cross‑disciplinary team and contribute to shared objectives.
