Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. is seeking an Associate Director to join the R&D Asset Transition and Integration Office in Warsaw, Poland.

The role leads end-to-end R&D asset transitions, coordinating with external partners and internal teams to ensure compliant, timely close. You will operate at the intersection of science, operations, and strategy, delivering high-quality data and governance across wind-downs, in-licensing, divestitures, and externalizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related field; advanced degree is welcome.
• 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech R&D strategy and operations or program management.
• End-to-end ownership of multi-functional programs.
• Delivery in global matrixed environments.
• Knowledge of R&D processes including clinical development, regulatory, safety, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Support or lead assigned R&D asset transitions, defining scope, sequencing, critical path, resourcing, and end state.
• Translate contractual obligations into clear operational plans with named owners and dates.
• Act as the operational contact with external partners, licensors, buyers, and vendors, including scheduling and clarifications.
• Coordinate delivery across Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Operations, and other functions.
• Manage study closeout, regulatory withdrawal, trial transparency obligations, and financial reconciliation.
• Establish governance cadence for transitions and brief senior leadership.
• Execute transition activities such as data transfer, regulatory filing transitions, and system migrations.
• Anticipate operational/regulatory challenges and improve processes.
• Contribute to RATIO frameworks, playbooks, and tools.
