Job summary

Michael Page is assisting an international manufacturing client in search of an experienced Quality Manager. You will lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and ensure products and processes meet customer requirements.

The Successful Applicant will have a Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering and at least five years of managerial quality experience in manufacturing, with strong auditing and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in English

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership and continuous improvement project management.
  • Practical knowledge of Quality Management Systems and auditing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies (8D, FMEA, 5 Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC).

Responsibilities

  • Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Oversee quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and standards.
  • Ensure products and processes meet customer requirements, legal regulations, and industry standards.
  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate internal audits; support external/certification audits.
  • Monitor product quality across manufacturing stages; manage customer complaints and CAPA.
  • Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement using quality tools (8D, FMEA, DMAIC).
  • Manage quality-related risk assessments and effectiveness of mitigation actions.
  • Oversee supplier qualification, performance evaluation, and development including audits.
  • Lead and develop the Quality team with KPIs and competencies.

About Our Client

For our Client, an international manufacturing company operating in the advanced technology products sector, we are seeking an experienced professional for the position of Quality Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System, as well as fostering a quality-focused culture that supports the organization's business objectives.

Job Description

  • Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Oversee quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and company quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance of products and processes with customer requirements, legal regulations, and industry standards.
  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate internal audits, while supporting external, certification, and customer audits.
  • Monitor product quality throughout all stages of the manufacturing process and manage customer complaints, CAPA activities, and quality issue resolution.
  • Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, 5 Why, Ishikawa, and DMAIC.
  • Manage quality-related risk assessments for products and processes and monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation actions.
  • Oversee supplier qualification, performance evaluation, and development processes, including supplier audits and material quality investigations.
  • Lead and develop the Quality team by setting objectives, monitoring KPIs, enhancing competencies, and fostering a strong quality culture.
  • Initiate and implement process improvement projects while collaborating closely with Production, Purchasing, R&D, Service, and Project teams to enhance quality performance and operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in a Quality function within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and continuous improvement project management.
  • Practical knowledge of Quality Management Systems and auditing processes.
  • Strong understanding of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, FMEA, 5 Why, Ishikawa, and DMAIC.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on quality performance indicators.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English, enabling effective collaboration in an international business environment.
