Astek Polska sp. z o.o. is seeking a QA Engineer – Manual Testing for a biotechnology client. The role emphasizes manual testing of complex systems, including embedded or system-level software, with focus on test artefacts and documentation.

You will create and maintain test cases, execute tests, report defects, and contribute to test strategies in an Agile environment, using JIRA, Confluence, Polarion, HP ALM/QC, MS Teams and Office 365.

Qualifications

Position

We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of QA Engineer – Manual Testing (he/she) for our client from the biotechnology industry.

Offered salary

Salary: from 11 000 to 13 200 PLN gross/month, depending on experience and competences.

You’re ideal for this role if you:

• Have 5+ years of professional experience in software testing
• Have hands‑on experience in manual testing of complex systems, including embedded or system‑level software
• Are experienced in creating, maintaining and executing test cases, test scenarios and test documentation
• Have experience analysing requirements and specifications, such as SRS and SDS, and translating them into effective test coverage
• Have solid experience in test execution, defect identification and bug reporting
• Have practical experience implementing test strategies and adapting testing approaches to different projects
• Have experience working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Teams and Office 365
• Have good knowledge of software QA methodologies, processes and tools, such as Polarion, HP ALM/QC or similar
• Have experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
• Are comfortable working with documentation and in regulated environments
• Have a good command of English, both spoken and written

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Analysing software requirements and specifications (e.g. SRS, SDS) and translating them into effective test coverage
• Creating, maintaining and executing test cases, test scenarios and test documentation
• Performing manual testing of complex systems, including embedded and system‑level software
• Developing and implementing appropriate test strategies and testing approaches based on project needs
• Executing tests, identifying defects and documenting clear and actionable bug reports
• Monitoring test progress and ensuring that testing activities are aligned with project objectives and quality standards
• Collaborating with developers, engineers, product owners and other stakeholders to analyse issues and drive their resolution
• Contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies and testing practices
• Working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Polarion, HP ALM/QC, MS Teams and Office 365
• Supporting testing activities across different projects and adapting to changing project requirements
