Job summary

BEC is expanding its Post-Trade Harmonization initiative in Poland and Denmark, offering hybrid work with remote days up to 8 per month. The Senior QA Engineer will lead quality activities, drive test strategy and ensure robust end-to-end testing across integrated systems for Danish banks.

You will work with cross-border teams, improve testability, and apply ATDD practices while engaging stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery in a dynamic fintech environment.

Job description

You will join our Post-Trade Program where you will be working with a newly established Post Trade Harmonization Initiative. The program has been initiated to tackle the Post Trade Harmonization requirements and provide the best future solutions for our member banks, enabling them to make quality decisions and stay compliant.

The Senior QA Engineer role offers an opportunity to work with securing Post Trade Harmonization for our member banks. The team consists of several dedicated members split between Denmark and Poland.

At BEC, we prefer frequent office collaboration but also offer the flexibility to work remotely up to 8 days per month.

Primary tasks and responsibilities include:

• Quality Leadership: Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior QA engineer with minimal supervision, independently driving test activities and stakeholder communication.

To succeed you will have:

• Core QA Competencies: Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex end-to-end flows across multiple integrated systems. Capable of selecting appropriate test approaches, levels, and techniques, managing defects end-to-end, and advocating quality across the SDLC. Able to clearly communicate quality risks, coverage, and results to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Non-Functional Testing Knowledge: Solid understanding of key non-functional test types (e.g., performance, reliability, security) and ability to identify when they should be applied based on system context and risk.
• Test management tools: Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., Xray or similar)
• API Testing tools: Practical experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, Bruno), including validation of request/response structures and error handling.
• Self-motivated and structured: Ability to independently plan, organize, and drive testing activities. Strong communication skills and proactive engagement in clarifying requirements and improving testability (e.g., supporting ATDD practices).
• Log Analysis: Ability to analyze application and system logs to support defect investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

It’s nice-to-have:

• Domain knowledge: Familiarity with investment products, trade lifecycle, and settlement processes.
• MQ & Message/Data Validation: Ability to work with message queues (IMB MQ), understand message flows, read and validate XML and JSON payloads, interpret schemas (XSD/JSON Schema), and test different data structures and variations in message‑based integrations.
