You will join our Post-Trade Program where you will be working with a newly established Post Trade Harmonization Initiative. The program has been initiated to tackle the Post Trade Harmonization requirements and provide the best future solutions for our member banks, enabling them to make quality decisions and stay compliant.
This role offers the opportunity to build future infrastructure by combining Cobol and Java solutions, helping our customers stay compliant. The team consists of several dedicated members split between Denmark and Poland.
Primary task and responsibilities include:
- Engage with Business Analysts and customers to capture requirements of the business.
- Analyze existing solution, document gaps and develop maintainable solutions for the program.
- Demonstrate a collaborative, self-driven mindset and work effectively across teams and levels.
- Align within team and across other teams on priorities with Product Owners.
- Familiarity with Agile Methods and ability to break down features into actionable user stories and active participation in Agile Events.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure solutions are well tested.
- Coordinate with Team Architect on ensuring proper design for solutions developed and contribute with architectural documentation
To succeed you will have:
- Highly skilled mainframe developer with broad knowledge of IBM z/OS mainframe stack (COBOL, CICS, IDz (IBM Developer for z/OS), MQ – Message Queue, DB2 – database, JCL – Job Control Language, Git/ Bitbucket, Jira – Agile project management, ServiceNow – incident and change) – preferred if you already have experience with BEC MF Tools (eg. PUMA, …)
- Strong foundation in software engineering principles, experience with code reviews, and a commitment to best practices in design and development.
- Fluency in English.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex problems and identify actionable solutions.
- Requirements Documentation: Familiarity with both functional and non-functional requirements, and how they translate into system behavior, and ensure proper system documentation.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication within team, across other teams and other stakeholders.
- Personal Attributes: Curiosity & Proactivity, ability to work together with cross functional teams, and adaptability i.e., comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a dynamic environment
Nice to have:
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with proven experience guiding teams or projects to successful outcomes.
- Experience in the financial sector, knowledge of trading solutions, and expertise in the Post Trade & Settlement area are advantages.
