At fireup.pro, as a QA Engineer, you will design and test systems that have a real impact on how businesses operate, from complex logistics platforms to advanced industry-specific systems, including solutions for the healthcare sector. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing testing processes at multiple levels: from automated API tests, through manual testing of mobile applications, to performance testing of systems that depend on multiple projects and technology stacks.
You will be responsible for:
- Designing, building, and maintaining automated tests using the development team’s stack (Java, Spring, RestAssured, Python)
- Automating API tests and developing a strategy to increase automated test coverage
- Performing manual API testing (Postman) and testing mobile applications on physical devices and emulators (Android Studio)
- Designing and running performance tests with JMeter and k6, including tests of dependent services from other projects
- Analyzing network traffic and request/response communication using Charles Proxy
- Analyzing and reporting defects and preparing detailed test reports
- Maintaining a stable and reliable test suite, analyzing failed tests, and identifying flaky tests
- Working with product and development teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure the testability of new features
- Using AI tools (e.g. Claude Code) to improve testing work while maintaining high standards of quality and security
- Sharing testing best practices with other QA Engineers and Developers
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, including experience in test automation
- Hands-on knowledge of Java and experience with RestAssured for API testing (knowledge of Spring is a strong advantage)
- Programming or scripting skills in Python
- Experience in API testing with Postman
- Experience testing mobile applications on physical devices and emulators (Android Studio)
- Experience preparing and running performance tests with JMeter and/or k6
- Ability to analyze network communication using Charles Proxy or similar tools
- Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub) and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
- Very good command of English and confidence communicating in an international environment
- Openness to using AI tools in everyday QA work
We will additionally appreciate:
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions)
- Knowledge of security, privacy, or medical device regulations, such as HIPAA or GDPR
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with database data validation
- Experience with mobile test automation (e.g. Appium)
- Certifications such as ISTQB or similar
