Job description

We are open to candidates at different stages of their QA journey. Whether you already have hands‑on experience with test automation or you’re eager to grow in this direction but haven’t worked with it commercially yet – we encourage you to apply.

About the position

We are looking for a person who will become a part of our on‑site team that includes engineers, UX designers, and a Project Manager. Above all, you will cooperate with our engineers and help them with ensuring the quality of the software. This can include testing the app, developing and maintaining QA processes, and possibly using or developing tools to automate and improve those processes.

We will give you a freedom of action within the team, so we expect you to be an independent, meticulous, and detail‑oriented individual. It is important to us that you understand the role of QA within the software development process well. We require you to have some experience in a similar position as well. It would also be helpful if you had some experience in at least one project where you were the main person responsible for QA.

It is very important for us to give you room for growth, which is why we have a growth plan prepared for you.

  • Manual QA – learning path toward QA Automation Engineer. As you are starting from a manual tester position, the most natural way is to gain experience in writing automated tests.
  • Later on, we can offer you the learning path toward Software Engineer position – if you are interested in programming, we believe that with our support you could become a Software Engineer. We will help you choose a programming language to specialise in, as well as provide you with a project to work on whose team members will support you in your transition.
Above all, we require
  • Good communication skills (in Polish and English) – you will be closely working with the whole team: engineers, PM, UX and to some degree the client. Your daily tasks will require communication mostly with our local team, but some things will be discussed directly with the client.
  • Experience with writing automatic E2E scripts, using tools such as Cypress, Selenium or Detox.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language.
  • Independence – you have to organise your own work. You will be responsible for taking care of quality assurance procedures (choosing tools, analysing data, being involved in the release, etc.).
  • Good analytical skills – you will work with complex business requirements, and you should be able to help the development team with ensuring the quality of the software we create.
  • Precision and attention to detail – you will execute tests and report bugs to software engineers.

Recruitment process will include tasks involving code‑related skills.

Perks and Benefits

You’ll be able to enjoy a hybrid working model, which will allow you to work remotely from time to time (few days in a month). At Software Mansion, keeping our employees happy and healthy is our top priority. The below perks are simply some of the ways that show we care.

We take care of our employees’ wellbeing by providing:

  • Flexible working hours – work whenever you like, as long as you are able to accommodate the needs of your projects.
  • 26 days of vacation leave (for employees on all types of contracts).
  • Private healthcare – get professional medical care for you and your family.
  • Sports packages – the ability to obtain a sports card from Medicover Sport or Multisport.
  • Therapist consultations – we are currently providing free consultations with a therapist to all of our employees.
  • Nutritious breakfasts in our canteen and snacks that are available every day at the office.
  • A villa in Croatia, located 5 minutes from the beach to enjoy a workation with your team or your close ones.

We actively support our employees’ growth and development by:

  • Financing a training budget for all employees.
  • Providing each employee with 3 paid R&D days during the year that you can use to work on educational side projects.
  • Assigning each employee a mentor for their first 3 months on the job.
  • Organising group training sessions for technical and non‑technical skills.
  • Encouraging work‑related initiatives such as presenting at conferences, writing blog posts, or organising your own workshops within the company.

You can get to know all of your co‑workers better by:

  • Meeting everyone at our All Hands social events accompanied by pizza, sushi & beer.
  • Signing up for one of our sports clubs, such as rock climbing or volleyball, or organising your own with our help.
  • Taking part in one of our many workshops where you can get to know your co‑workers better and learn things such as how to prepare sushi or what it takes to make the perfect espresso.
