Job summary

ThunderSoft is seeking a Chinese-speaking Project Manager to support delivery and coordination of projects across the European region. This on-site role requires close collaboration with Chinese-speaking HQ teams and European clients.

You will oversee planning, resource coordination, scheduling, risk management and budget control while liaising with vendors and payroll providers. Travel within Europe may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, CS, Telecom, Business or related field.
• 3–5 years in project management or similar operational role.
• Experience working directly with clients or external partners.
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese and fluent English.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and familiarity with project tracking tools.
• Occasional travel within Europe may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning and own execution across the European region to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Serve as daily contact for specialists on client engagements across several European countries.
• Coordinate with external payroll providers on onboarding, contracts and invoicing.
• Track costs, vendor spend and risks; report status to PM Lead and escalate deviations.
• Act as operational contact for delivery matters from requirement clarification to progress.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across sales, technical ops and support.
• Manage external vendors on scheduling, deliverables and performance.
• Adapt processes and SOPs for the European market and capture best practices.

About the Role

We are looking for aChinese-speakingProject Managerto support the delivery and coordination of projects across the European region.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning and own the execution and delivery of assigned projects in the European region. This includes requirement analysis, resource coordination, schedule control, risk management and issue closure, ensuring on-time, on-quality and on-budget delivery.
• Act as the day-to-day contact for specialists deployed on client engagements across several European countries, resolving their working-arrangement, schedule and pay-related queries promptly and keeping them informed.
• Coordinate with external employment and payroll providers on onboarding, contract changes, invoicing and offboarding as projects ramp up and down.
• Track project costs against budget, monitor vendor spend, report project status, risks and blockers to the PM Lead, and elevate deviations early.
• Serve as the operational contact for the client on delivery matters, from requirement clarification to progress and issue resolution.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across sales, technical, operations and support teams in Europe and China.
• Manage external vendors and suppliers on scheduling, deliverables and performance.
• Respond quickly to unexpected events such as facility failures, delivery delays or regulatory changes, proactively drive solutions, and conduct post-event reviews that feed into the next delivery.
• Maintain project documentation and delivery records to the standard set.
• Help adapt and improve project management processes and SOPs for the European market, capturing best practices for the wider PM team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
• 3-5 years in project management, project coordination or a comparable operational role.
• Experience working directly with clients or external partners.
• Experience delivering projects
• Comfortable in a people-facing role: patient, approachable and reliable in following through on individual queries from colleagues in different countries and cultures.
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese and fluent English. The role coordinates daily with Chinese-speaking headquarters teams, so working proficiency in both is essential.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and confident working with project tracking and reporting tools.
• Resilience and problem-solving under pressure: remains calm and effective in high‑pressure, multi‑tasking environments and keeps several parallel projects moving without losing detail.
• Strong cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Self-directed, with the initiative to work without close supervision.
• Occasional travel within Europe may be required.

Nice-to have

• Exposure to data centre, ICT infrastructure, cloud or technology outsourcing projects or manpower outsourcing projects.
• Experience coordinating with external staffing, employment or payroll providers.
• Another European language (Italian, German, Polish, etc.)
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
