Job summary

ALTEN Kraków is seeking an experienced Project Manager to steward large, multi-disciplinary programs delivering monitoring platforms for energy and industrial infrastructure.

You will coordinate multi-team workstreams, manage dependencies, and report on progress, risks and budgets while partnering with senior stakeholders and architects across Software, Data, and IoT domains.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years commercial experience in senior PM roles.
• Proven track record leading large-scale technology programs.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and dependencies.

WHAT WILL YOUR CHALLENGES BE?

• Manage the delivery of a program focused on the development and integration of a monitoring platform for energy and industrial infrastructure.
• Coordinate the work of multiple technology and business teams, while managing dependencies across project workstreams.
• Plan, monitor, and report on project progress, budget, schedule, and associated risks.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, solution architects, technical leads, and system owners.
• Oversee projects across Software Development, Data & AI, Data Platforms, Systems Integration, and Industrial IoT domains.
• Identify and remove obstacles impacting program delivery, while supporting effective decision-making processes.
• Implement and promote effective project and program management practices within a complex transformation environment.

WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?

• Minimum 12 years of commercial experience, including extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, or Program Manager.
• Proven experience in leading large-scale and complex technology projects or programs.
• Experience managing projects involving multiple technology, business, and/or infrastructure teams working in parallel.
• Strong track record in delivering large Software Development / Software Engineering projects.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, planning, development, testing, integration, deployment/release, and maintenance.
• Experience collaborating with Software Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, QA, Data/AI, and Product/Business teams.
• Experience delivering projects involving the integration of multiple systems, applications, and platforms.
• Experience working with large-scale data environments, such as Data Platforms, Data Warehouses, Data Fabrics, Data Lakes, and database or multi-source data integration initiatives.
• Experience in projects involving AI, Machine Learning, Data, and Analytics. The candidate is not expected to be an AI specialist but should understand the nature and challenges of such initiatives.
• Experience in digitalization and technology transformation programs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a large number of dependencies across teams, systems, components, and vendors.
• Hands‑on experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Ability to successfully manage projects in a hybrid delivery model, where different parts of a program may follow different methodologies.
• Experience establishing and maintaining project governance, roadmaps, schedules, accountability structures, and reporting frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior management and executive‑level stakeholders.
• Experience working in international and distributed environments.
• Ability to join projects that are not yet fully structured, identify issues and dependencies, and establish effective project governance and delivery practices.
• Excellent command of the English language.
