Job summary

ZF Group in Wroclaw is seeking a Project Controller Air Supply (m/f/d) to act as a financial partner to project managers and cross-functional teams. You will drive profitability through accurate forecasting, risk identification, and proactive cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 2+ years in accounting or controlling, IFRS familiarity, and strong Excel skills, with English fluency and German as a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in accounting, reporting or controlling.
• Familiar with IFRS.
• Experience in at least two Controlling areas (M&L, Material, R&D, Sales, Quality Cost).
• Very good knowledge of Excel; fluent in English; German is a plus.

About the Team

The Business Controlling team plays a key role in driving project success by acting as a trusted financial partner to Project Managers and cross-functional teams. As a Project Controller, you will operate as a “mini CFO,” ensuring financial transparency, identifying risks, and supporting informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. You will have a direct impact on project profitability while collaborating closely with finance and project stakeholders. What you can look forward to as Project Controller Air Supply (m/f/d):

• Drive project team towards committed financial targets, anticipate & identify potential FCM, GMP, M-ROCE drops in an early stage, and support initiatives in case of cost gaps;
• Critical check of commercial customer & supplier contracts (volume & productivity clauses, FX & Raw material clauses, etc.);
• Ensure that responsibilities and ownership of project financials are clearly defined in the project team;
• Evaluate proactively the economic health of projects in the creation phase and until the start of production;
• Ensure the project team selects the most economic solutions, ensure that project approval is based on accurate economic projections;
• Identify risks early, support project team in identifying, implementing, and tracking mitigation activities;
• Drive decision-making by asking the right questions, driving escalation via product line or via Finance function if necessary;
• Ensure accurate tracking of change requests (costing/pricing) within the project (change of requirements) & Push for maximum customer reimbursements by ensuring that invoicing is triggered when milestones are achieved.

Your Profile as Project Controller Air Supply (m/f/d):

• Higher education;
• Experience: minimum 2 years in accounting/reporting/controlling, familiar with IFRS, at least two out of key Controlling areas (M&L, Material, R&D, Sales, Quality Cost);
• Escalate early in case of deviations whilst maintaining a good relationship with team members based on mutual respect;
• Open source mentality to exchange know-how within BB & PjC team;
• Very good knowledge of Excel;
• Fluent English, German will be a plus;
• Be authentic - To be quirky is an asset;
• Managerial Courage & not shy - ask questions when others won’t and curious - constantly exploring.
