Job summary

Skytree in Katowice invites a Project Controller to build and maintain project schedules, track hours, costs and status, and control documentation for product development and deployment projects within the Operational department. You will work closely with the project management team, team leads and stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery within budget while meeting quality standards.

The role requires collaboration across remote, international teams and a background in hardware product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Engineering).
• 3–5 years of proven experience as a project planner, coordinator, or project manager in a technical setting.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, able to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in project management software and Google Workspace (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Google Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Working proficiency in English.
• Experience collaborating with remote, international teams.
• Experience in hardware product development and design is nice to have.
• Experience in larger industrial products deployment is nice to have.
• Familiarity with CE/UL certifications and Design for Quality (DfQ) standards is nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the project schedule, and track hours, cost, status, and documentation.
• Report on time, budget spend, and decision-making to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the project management team, team leads, and other stakeholders.
• Develop baseline execution plans with timelines, milestones, budgets, risks and resource allocation.
• Identify required resources and ensure availability throughout the project.
• Assist in preparing project budgets and tracking expenses, ensuring alignment with budgets.
• Identify and mitigate risks and report on their implementation.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure effective communication within the project team and across departments.
• Maintain project documentation control including plans, status reports, minutes and records.
• Foster positive relationships with stakeholders and keep them informed.
• Identify opportunities to improve project planning and delivery processes.

Your role

As Project Controller, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the project schedule, as well as keeping record of the actuals; hours, cost, status and document control for both product development and deployment projects within the Operational department at Skytree. Your primary objective will be to ensure that projects are controlled efficiently, reporting against time, budget spend and decision making, while meeting the required quality standards. You will work closely with the project management team, team leads, and other stakeholders.

You’ll make an impact by

• Project Baseline Controls: developing comprehensive project execution plans, including timelines, milestones, budget, risk & opportunity and resource allocation in cooperation with project stakeholders.
• Resource Management: identifying the required resources (personnel, equipment, and materials) and working with relevant departments to understand their needs and ensure their availability throughout the project.
• Budget Management: assisting in preparing project budgets and tracking project expenses. Ensuring that projects are executed within the allocated budget or following budget variation protocols and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Risk Assessment: identifying potential risks and challenges that may impact the project baselines. Assisting to developing risk mitigation plans and reporting on their implementation.
• Progress Monitoring: regularly monitoring and reporting on project progress, providing updates to stakeholders and management. Addressing any deviations from the plan promptly and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Communication: facilitating effective communication within the project team and across departments. Ensuring that all team members are well-informed about project goals, tasks, and timelines.
• Documentation: maintaining project documentation control, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.
• Stakeholder Engagement: fostering positive relationships with project stakeholders, addressing their concerns, and keeping them informed about project progress.
• Continuous Improvement: proactively identifying opportunities to enhance project planning processes and project delivery method.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

• You have 3-5 years proven experience as a project planner, coordinator, or project management role within a technical department or related field.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, able to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in industry project management software and ability to use Google Suite (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Google Sheets, Docs, Slides etc. ).
• Working proficiency in English required.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with remote, international teams.
• Experience in hardware product development and design is nice to have.
• Experience in larger industrial products deployment is nice to have.
• Familiarity with CE/UL certifications and Design for Quality (DfQ) standards is nice to have.
