Job summary

Amentum is seeking qualified candidates to join our logistics pipeline for anticipated opportunities. The role supports multiple warehouse and supply functions within a defense-focused environment, executing inventory control, transportation, and data reporting.

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma and 4 years of related experience, with the ability to operate government-provided light vehicles and use STAMIS/GCSS-A systems.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge: Must be able to operate Government provided light vehicles.
• Preferred: Plant 2000 experience; Military MOS 92A; international driver’s license preferred.
• Certification, License & Clearance: GCCS-A Certification; U.S. Driver’s license; U.S. Citizenship; CAC eligibility if required.

Responsibilities

• Receives, inventories, configures, stores and issues in accordance with U.S. Army policies and local procedures.
• Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming/outgoing material against documents.
• Maintains inventory records and uses computer terminals.
• Operates STAMIS programs, e.g., GCSS-A.
• Generates daily/weekly/monthly reports as required.
• Moves materials using forklift or industrial truck.
• Ensures safety policies and environmental health standards are followed.

Job description

This position is part of a talent pipeline created to identify and engage qualified candidates for anticipated future opportunities. While this role is not tied to an immediate opening, applicants who meet the qualifications may be considered as relevant positions become available.

Purpose:

Executes multiple logistics functions, may include transportation, service, property, supply, inventory, and warehousing operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receives, inventories, configures, stores and issues in accordance with U.S. Army Supply Policies and Procedures as well as local policies and regulations IAW the PWS.
• Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming/outgoing material to verify receipt/issue of items against receipt/shipping documents.
• Possess knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Maintains inventory and other stock records, using computer terminal.
• May be required to operate a variety of STAMIS programs, and GCSS-A.
• Inputs data and generates daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by department.
• Moves or transports materials or supplies to other departments, using hand forklift or industrial truck.
• Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
• Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.
• Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 4 years' related experience.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be able to qualify and operate Government provided light vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred experience with Plant 2000 supporting Maintenance Operations. Prior Military MOS 92A, preferred. International driver's license prior to deployment preferred.

Certification, License & Clearance: GCCS-A Certification required. Valid US Driver's license required. US Citizenship required. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CAC, if required.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures. Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. When performing work, responsible for adhering to environmental, safety, and health standards related to the activity, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
