Job summary

Amentum is seeking a logistics specialist to support US Army supply operations in Poland. The role involves receiving, inventorying, configuring, storing and issuing materials in accordance with PWS and local policies, and maintaining accurate stock records.

You will operate government-provided light vehicles, run reports, and ensure safety and quality standards are upheld in a challenging environment. Prior military exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years’ related experience.
• Must be able to qualify and operate Government provided light vehicles.
• Preferred: Prior Military MOS 92A and international driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming/outgoing material to verify receipt against documents.
• Maintains inventory and stock records using a computer terminal.

• Moves materials using hand forklift or industrial truck.
• Follows safety practices and supports safety policies.
• Contributes to ISO quality and environmental requirements.

Job description

Purpose:

Executes multiple logistics functions, may include transportation, service, property, supply, inventory, and warehousing operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receives, inventories, configures, stores and issues in accordance with U.S. Army Supply Policies and Procedures as well as local policies and regulations IAW the PWS.


• Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming/outgoing material to verify receipt/issue of items against receipt/shipping documents.


• Possess knowledge of warehouse operations.


• Maintains inventory and other stock records, using computer terminal.


• May be required to operate a variety of STAMIS programs, and GCSS-A.


• Inputs data and generates daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by department.


• Moves or transports materials or supplies to other departments, using hand forklift or industrial truck.


• Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.


• Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.


• Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.


• Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• 4 years’ related experience.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to qualify and operate Government provided light vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Military MOS 92A, preferred.


• International driver’s license prior to deployment preferred.

Certification, License & Clearance:

• GCCS-A Certified in Supply required.


• Valid US Driver’s license required.


• US Citizenship required.


• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CAC, if required.

Facility credentials/authorization required:

Must be able to obtain and maintain facility and credential /authorization:

Note- US Citizenship is required for facility credential/authorization at this work location.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

• Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.


• Must be able to lift 50lbs.


• Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.


• Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.


• When performing work, responsible for adhering to environmental, safety, and health standards related to the activity, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
