Job summary

Guardian Glass in Katowice is seeking a Procurement specialist to support the procurement team. You will partner with stakeholders to understand requirements, validate requisitions, and review quotations, while helping to optimize the purchasing process.

You will train Plant Users on ordering and manage procurement systems, POs, and related tasks, coordinating with Sourcing, Finance, and Tax. You’ll ensure compliance with policy and drive value through cross-functional collaboration.

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas).

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Procurement specialist at our office in Katowice to join our Procurement team

Our Team

In this role, you’ll help drive the purchasing process while contributing to a culture that embraces innovation, respectful challenge, and partnership with both internal and external stakeholders.

What You Will Do

• Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and validate purchase requisitions, including review of quotations.
• Provide training and ongoing support to Plant Users and other internal customers on the ordering process.
• Manage procurement systems and Purchase Orders, including PO aging clean-up, PO closure, and related system tasks.
• Collaborate closely with the Sourcing Team and other departments such as Finance and Tax.
• Ensure all processes comply with Procurement strategy, policies and internal controls.
• Work proactively with cross‑functional teams to deliver superior value and meet Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) expectations.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Knowledge of procurement and supply processes, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, including advanced Excel skills (spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables and formula creation).
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively with the global teams

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, International business or similar.
• Experience with the Procurement systems as COUPA or Infor M3
• Basic accounting knowledge, invoicing, accounts payable cycles, cost analysis
