Our client, a global technology leader, is hiring a Principal Go Engineer to advance a distributed data and analytics platform. You will shape architecture, performance, reliability and delivery of key components in Kubernetes-based, cloud-enabled environments.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of software development experience.
• Five+ years in Go programming.
• Experience as Staff/Principal engineer or technical lead.
• Ownership of complex production systems.
• Strong HA distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with large-scale data/events processing.
• Expertise in Go concurrency, memory management and profiling.
• Knowledge of microservices and REST API design.
• Advanced SQL with PostgreSQL.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services in Go.
• Develop high-performance data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Create event-driven architecture with Kafka.
• Define service boundaries and data flows between components.
• Make architecture decisions for scalability, consistency and availability.
• Investigate performance, concurrency and reliability issues.
• Optimize Go services for CPU, memory, and networking.
• Raise code quality, testing, observability and security standards.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple components/teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and guide technical decisions.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, product, and domain experts.
• Participate in resolving complex production incidents.
