Job summary

Our client is an international technology company delivering end-to-end solutions for PLM, cloud, IIoT and data analytics. They seek a Principal Go Engineer to shape architecture, performance and reliability of a distributed data platform.

The role involves hands-on Go development, architecture decisions, and mentoring across teams. The platform processes large volumes of network telemetry data in Kubernetes, public cloud and on-premises environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional software development experience.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial Go programming experience.
• Experience in a Staff Engineer/Principal Engineer or similar role.
• Documented ownership of complex production systems.
• Strong knowledge of high-availability distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing scalable backend services in Go.
• Building high-performance data pipelines for ingestion and processing.
• Designing event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka.
• Defining service boundaries and data flows between components.
• Leading complex initiatives spanning multiple teams and mentoring engineers.
