Job summary

RWE Renewables Poland Sp. z o.o is seeking a Head of Development to lead Onshore Wind, PV and BESS development, shaping a robust pipeline and delivering value through FID or divestment.

You will manage ~60 personnel across origination and development and partner with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Investments & Transactions, and corporate functions. You will drive strategic priorities into measurable outcomes, lead cross-functional teams, ensure governance, and strengthen stakeholder

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance or related discipline.
• Extensive renewable energy experience with Onshore Wind, PV and ideally BESS.
• Proven track record leading large pipelines from origination through to FID and/or divestment.
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset with experience in portfolio management, investment decision-making and value optimisation.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams within complex matrix organisations.
• Experience working across cross-functional stakeholder groups including Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Finance, Legal and Transactions.
• Fluent in Polish and English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of high-quality, economically competitive Onshore, PV and BESS pipeline through disciplined portfolio management and LCOE optimisation.
• Drive pipeline growth through greenfield development, acquisitions, partnerships and divestment opportunities.
• Translate strategic priorities into clear business outcomes with a strong commercial mindset.
• Foster a high-performance, accountable organisation across Poland with leadership development.
• Build a scalable organisation through leadership and empowerment of teams and managers.
• Represent the Project Development function within the Polish Board and ensure governance and HSE standards.
• Build strong external relationships across the Polish renewables market with key stakeholders and industry forums.
