Job summary

Personio in Poland is seeking a Customs Specialist to manage end-to-end customs operations for imports and exports at our factory. You will ensure compliance with EU Customs Code and Polish regulations, classify HS codes, prepare documentation for energy storage systems, and liaise with authorities and forwarders to minimize delays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics Management, Customs Management, Law, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on customs operations experience in manufacturing (energy sector preferred).
• Proficiency in Polish and EU customs procedures, tariff policies, and hazardous goods transport rules (ADR, IMDG).
• Polish, Chinese and English language skills (Polish native, Chinese proficient, English at least B2).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end customs operations for import/export at our factory in Poland.
• Ensure compliance with EU Customs Code and Polish regulations to minimize clearance delays.
• Classify HS codes and prepare import/export documentation, including energy storage system lithium batteries.
• Coordinate with Polish customs authorities and freight forwarders to resolve inspection issues.
• Oversee customs compliance management, conduct self-audits, and monitor policy updates.
• Work with AES/ICS2 and ERP systems (SAP preferred) and support procurement, production, logistics, and finance to optimize logistics and costs.
