Ajax Systems is seeking a Customs Specialist to oversee import and export operations in Warsaw, Poland. The role involves managing customs documentation, ensuring compliance with EU and Polish customs regulations, and coordinating with customs brokers.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in customs clearance processes, attention to detail, and strong communication skills in both English and Polish. This position plays a critical role in supporting the logistics and finance teams to ensure efficient customs operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with customs clearance processes in Poland.
• Hands‑on experience in preparing, reviewing, and validating customs documentation.
• Strong understanding of customs procedures, customs valuation, and tariff classification (HS/CN).
• Experience coordinating and controlling the work of external customs brokers.
• Good knowledge of EU and Polish customs legislation.
• High level of accuracy, responsibility, and attention to detail.
• Experience with intra‑group transactions and transfer of ownership in transit.
• Knowledge of EORI, AEO, and trade compliance processes.
• Understanding of international supply chains and logistics flows.
• Ability to identify customs and trade compliance risks and support their mitigation in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work closely with logistics, finance, and legal teams.
• English at a working/professional level.
• Polish language proficiency is required for interaction with local authorities and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and maintain customs documentation for import and export operations.
• Submit documentation to customs brokers and control the customs clearance process.
• Verify customs declarations for correctness and completeness.
• Act as the main point of contact for customs brokers in Poland.
• Oversee cooperation with customs brokers and manage service quality.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with EU and Polish customs and trade regulations.
• Monitor changes in customs legislation and implement updates in processes.
• Cooperate closely with logistics, supply chain, finance, and legal teams.
