Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an automation engineer to develop and commission Beckhoff-based control systems. You will program PLC drivers in TwinCAT 3 and support on-site commissioning at client sites in Berlin and Dresden as part of the project cycle.

The role requires at least 4 years Beckhoff PLC experience, a higher technical education in automation or related fields, willingness to travel ~60%, English B2, and fluent Polish. A valid category B driving license is required.

Job description

Join the team working on advanced projects in the field of process automation for transport, material handling, and assembly. We create solutions used in modern manufacturing plants and logistics centers, where reliability, efficiency, and precision are crucial. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and commissioning of control systems based on Beckhoff technology, participating in the full project cycle – from programming and testing to commissioning directly at the client’s site.

Approximately 60% of the time throughout the year will be spent traveling to clients in the Berlin and Dresden areas. Projects are most often carried out in a model of 3 weeks onsite, followed by about a week off in Poland.

Your tasks

• Programming PLC drivers (Beckhoff) in the TwinCAT 3 environment
• Development and modification of PLC software
• Support in commissioning machines and systems
• Debugging and troubleshooting automation systems
• Integration and testing of machine functions
• Support during FAT/SAT activities
• Commissioning systems on-site in Berlin
• Potential support at the client near Dresden
• Collaboration with the robot programming team
• Creating technical documentation and software updates

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Beckhoff PLC programming
• Higher technical education: Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics or related
• Experience in programming in TwinCAT 3
• Willingness to travel for business approximately 60% of the time during the year, including to Germany
• English language proficiency at B2 level
• Fluent knowledge of Polish is required
• Required to be located in Poland
• Possession of a valid category B driving license
