Job summary

Sii Poland seeks an experienced automation engineer to develop and commission control systems based on Beckhoff technology for transport, handling, and assembly applications. You will work through the full project cycle from programming and testing to on-site commissioning at client locations, primarily in Germany region.

The role requires at least 4 years of Beckhoff PLC programming, TwinCAT 3 expertise, and willingness to travel about 60% during the year, including to Berlin and Dresden.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of Beckhoff PLC programming experience.
Degree in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics or related field.
Experience with TwinCAT 3.
Willingness to travel ~60% including Germany.
English at B2 level; Polish fluent.

Responsibilities

Programming PLC drivers (Beckhoff) in TwinCAT 3.
Development and modification of PLC software.
Support in commissioning machines and systems.
Debugging and troubleshooting automation systems.
Integration and testing of machine functions.
Support during FAT/SAT activities.

Job description

Join the team working on advanced projects in the field of process automation for transport, material handling, and assembly. We create solutions used in modern manufacturing plants and logistics centers, where reliability, efficiency, and precision are crucial. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and commissioning of control systems based on Beckhoff technology, participating in the full project cycle – from programming and testing to commissioning directly at the client’s site.

Approximately 60% of the time throughout the year will be spent traveling to clients in the Berlin and Dresden areas. Projects are most often carried out in a model of 3 weeks onsite, followed by about a week off in Poland.

Requirements

Willingness to travel for business approximately 60% of the time during the year, including to Germany
English language proficiency at B2 level
Fluent knowledge of Polish is required
Required to be located in Poland
Possession of a valid category B driving license
