Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a software leadership role.
• High energy, proactive and approachable with a passion for solving challenges.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of Scrum and architectural concepts.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, preferably React.
• Knowledge of Python and Django or FastAPI is a plus.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure.
• Knowledge of Java and/or C# is an advantage.
• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-disciplinary Agile development team of up to eight people, including React and Python developers, automation engineers, and product owners.
• Participate in architecture and design sessions to support new platform features.
• Guide the personal and professional development of all team members across specialisms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine the platform roadmap.
• Hire, mentor, and retain software professionals across multiple functions.
• Ensure CI/CD workflows operate efficiently and effectively.
• Establish, track, and maintain performance objectives, including monitoring and optimisation.
