Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking a seasoned Lead Azure Cloud Engineer to architect, develop, automate, and manage secure, scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.

You will work with Azure infra, containers, DevOps pipelines, IaC, observability, security controls, and AI-driven cloud solutions, partnering with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in designing and operating Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automated deployments.
• Strong understanding of containerized workloads and AKS.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tooling and DevSecOps practices.
• Security controls and observability are essential.
• Experience with AI-driven cloud solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure across subscriptions and networking.
• Develop reusable Azure deployment patterns for apps, APIs, and services.
• Deploy AKS clusters with node pools, ingress, identity, and security controls.
• Create and maintain Terraform modules for multi-environment deployments.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Enable DevOps practices including automated builds, tests, security scans, and release automation.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to boost productivity in scripting, IaC, and pipelines.
• Deploy cloud-native services (App Service, Functions, Cosmos DB, SQL, Key Vault, etc.).
• Assist AI-driven solution deployments using Azure AI services.
• Develop AI components using patterns like RAG and multi-agent workflows.
• Implement secure integration patterns (RBAC, private endpoints, firewalls).
• Set up observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Resolve complex cloud, network, and security incidents.
• Enforce DevSecOps processes across the stack.
• Contribute to standards, templates, and knowledge sharing.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to teammates.
