Job summary

LSEG seeks a Lead Platform Engineer / Solution Architect to shape and evolve our enterprise API Management Platform. You will enable teams to design, publish, discover, and consume APIs securely, with self-service capabilities and AI-assisted tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the architecture of the API Management Platform to ensure scalability, security and ease of adoption.
• Drive strategic evolution of core platform capabilities: API Gateway, API Management, API Discovery, and Developer Experience services.
• Define and promote reusable patterns, standards, and governance for API exposure and lifecycle management.
• Own runtime capabilities: authentication, authorization, traffic management, rate limiting, policy enforcement, transformation, observability.
• Build self-service capabilities for API producers and consumers to onboard and integrate with minimal support.
• Collaborate with product/design/engineering to improve platform usability and developer experience.
• Partner with teams to reduce technical debt and improve operational efficiency.
• Establish platform standards and governance while maintaining developer productivity.
• Support and evolve API lifecycle tooling: design, publishing, documentation, sandboxing, discovery.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to boost development efficiency while upholding quality and governance.
• Monitor health and usage metrics to continuously improve performance and customer satisfaction.
