Job summary

Moderna is expanding its international business services hub in Warsaw and seeking a Senior Software/Platform Engineer to build and evolve the next generation of developer tools and cloud infrastructure. You will work with global teams, design scalable CI/CD pipelines, and implement IaC in AWS while enabling AI-assisted development.

The role blends platform engineering with hands-on coding and collaboration across engineering teams.

Qualifications

BS/BA in Computer Science with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
5+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or a closely related role.
Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.
Hands-on experience building and operating solutions in AWS.
Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for production systems.
Interest/familiar with using Infrastructure-as-Code to provision and manage cloud resources.
Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing, code review, version control, and system design.
Ability to work across application and platform boundaries to solve developer productivity and delivery problems.
Proficiency in English (verbal and/or written) required due to global collaboration needs.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain developer tooling, including AI agents, generators, libraries, templates, CLIs, and services.
Design, build, and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, secure software delivery at scale.
Develop and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC for repeatability, security, scalability.
Implement and operate shared builder services to enhance platform DevOps experience.
Enable and accelerate AI-assisted development by integrating advanced tooling.
Partner with application engineers to identify friction points and deliver scalable platform solutions.
Write high-quality production code in TS/JS and Python.
Support application teams with robust infra for services, environments, and deployments.
Improve platform reliability, observability, and developer experience through automation.
Contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices.
